Justin Bieber tells Selena Gomez about his snake at the MTV VMAs

Oh, that Justin Bieber is a cheeky little boy. Bieber stopped by girlfriend Selena Gomez's pre-show interview to answer a few questions. Of course, he didn't exactly take it seriously.

"I have a snake," Biebs told his girlfriend while holding a small reptile.

"Stop, I know!" Gomez replied, her face turning red.

"My snake's name is Johnson," Bieber added, further embarrassing his 19-year-old girlfriend. Nice double entendre, Biebs.

As for his outfit? "I have red pants and cheetah shoes," he said. Wow. He did get a little more serious with her other questions.

"Alright, so now you're up for Best Male Video -- against Eminem [and] Bruno Mars," Gomez said. "Do you feel a little nervous?"

"I'm just excited to be in a category with such amazing people," Bieber said. "I'm just happy to be here."

He went on to say that he's excited to see the Kanye West and Jay-Z performance, along with the performance of newly pregnant Beyonce.

"I'm very excited," he said before planting a smooch on Gomez.

Oh, how we miss the days when we were too-cool-for-school. We know it's a phase and Bieber will grow up... Someday (Ha!). Gomez seems like a mature girl, so we're not sure what she sees in the teenage superstar.
