Anna Faris Fakes An Accent
Anna Faris tries -- and fails -- to put on a British accent in What's Your Number.
One of my British friends let me in on a little secret when I was over there visiting a few months back: Americans can't fake a British accent. She told me this after I thought I did a really good one -- turns out we can't fool the Brits.
Sadly, someone didn't give Ally Darling that memo in the upcoming romantic comedy What's Your Number? Ally -- played by Anna Faris -- unexpectedly meets up with her ex-boyfriend while on the street with her neighbor, played by Chris Evans. Of course, hilarity ensues. Exclusive clip: Watch Anna Faris' terrible accent in What's Your Number?
Faris has made a career out of making fun of herself -- and we have to love a girl who isn't afraid of getting laughs at her own expense. "I remember thinking, 'Oh, this is hard. I don't know if I can do this. I don't know if I have the stomach or the guts for this,'" Faris said in a past interview with the AV Club. "And Keenen [Ivory Wayans] pulled me aside and said, 'Look, there's no vanity in comedy.' And that really hit home with me. That's an idea I try to embrace." See Anna Faris look for The One in What's Your Number?>> And we love you for it, Anna! We can't wait for this rom-com to hit theaters next month -- especially for the all-star cast that includes Andy Samberg as a dorky puppeteer, Joel McHale and Zachary Quinto. Are you excited for What's Your Number?
