Hilary Duff 'overwhelmed' by pregnancy congrats

Singer/actress Hilary Duff is pregnant, and she says she is so grateful for the outpouring of well-wishes from her friends and fans.

Duff thanked her fans on Twitter -- the same place she shared the news that she and husband of one year Mike Comrie are expecting.

"Wow! I am just overwhelmed by all of the wonderful messages everyone is sending! Thank you so much! Big hugs! Xxo," Duff tweeted Sunday night.

Hockey player Mike Comrie married Hilary Duff a year ago to the date of the pregnancy announcement in an intimate evening ceremony at a private Santa Barbara estate.

Comrie will have plenty of time to prepare for baby: He announced last week that he will be taking a break from hockey to rehab an injured hip, giving him many spare hours to shop for baby booties and assemble a nursery full of furniture.
