Rihanna's hair regimen is no small budgetary matter. Word has it the singer's colorful locks cost over $20,000 a week!

Rihanna and the price of beauty

Rihanna's hair care costs are staggering. For what most people would spend on a brand new car the songstress shells out to have her tresses dyed, trimmed and curled into perfection each week!

The Daily Mail reports that Rihanna has employed stylist Ursula Stephen to care for her hair at a rate of $3,243 a day. That equals $22,701 a week, and a possible $1.18 million for a full 365 days of teasing.

One Rihanna roadie told the publication, "Ursula is a close confidante and they [she and Rihanna] are together all the time. Most of these costs are paid for by her management."

The insider continues, "Rihanna likes to pioneer new styles but it's costing her a fortune. She makes several public appearances a week, and the cost soon stacks up."

Undoubtedly Rihanna, seen here performing on July 14 in Florida during her Loud tour, needs the full treatment for appearances and such, but the amount is simply staggering when you add it all up!

SheKnows has reached out to a rep in regards to the Rihanna hair care costs rumor, but we've yet to receive a denial (or confirmation) on the reports.
