It is hard to picture anyone else but Patrick Swayze saying, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner!" but that is exactly what Lionsgate is planning on doing with a Dirty Dancing remake.

Jennifer Grey, who starred in the 1987 classic with Patrick Swayze, rose to fame after her portrayal of Baby, a somewhat naïve gal who gets schooled in life and in the art of dirty dancing.
The original earned $214 million worldwide and had a bestselling soundtrack -- and the studio thought it was time for a remake with Kenny Ortega directing… and Grey agrees!
"I love @Kennyortega and trust that he will do something special #DirtyDancingRemake," Grey tweeted.
Ortega has been closely linked to Dirty Dancing, as he was the choreographer on the original movie!
"I'm so excited about this news and I think there's nobody better to do this than my beloved Kenny Ortega, who is as responsible as anyone for the success of the first one. I can't wait to see what he's going to do with it," she tells the Wall Street Journal in a statement.
"Blown away by all of the love expressed for #DirtyDancing. Makes me want to see it again. So grateful to have been a part of it," she tweeted. Maybe we can expect to see a little cameo in the remake?
