Bravo's Top Chef just got a little more interesting with the addition of its newest judge -- Emeril Lagasse. The professional chef, author and host will bring his unique taste to the popular cooking contest. According to The NY Daily News, Cajun-style Legasse and former Top Chef Masters contestant Hugh Acheson, will both debut on Top Chef's ninth season this fall.
Does all this change scare you? Don't worry, the old team consisting of Padma Lakshmi, Gail Simmons and head judge Tom Colicchio is still intact. They just added a few new faces to the mix.
While the professionals are getting used to their growing roster, the contestants will adjust to a change in scenery. Top Chef usually takes place in one location, but this season it will travel between three Texas cities: Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. It's kind of like their American cooking tour, but smaller.
