Project Runway judge Michael Kors is engaged

Call it the most fashionable wedding of the year: Designer Michael Kors will marry his longtime partner Lance LaPere now that same-sex marriage has been legalized in New York.

"Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together," said Kors, 51.

"We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately," the Project Runway judge revealed.

The pair was spotted picking up a marriage license at the clerk's office in Manhattan earlier this week.

Kors and LaPere met in 1990 when LaPere was an intern for Kors' company.
