Sean Penn's Politics
Sean Penn is a pretty polarizing figure in Hollywood -- and one guy who definitely doesn't like him is Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen.
Actor and social activist Sean Penn took a lot of heat over his support of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez last March. For those not up on their world politics, Chavez is a socialist-near-autocrat accused of driving the Venezuelan economy into the ground -- and one countryman is speaking out. Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen hails from the South American country, and had some strong words about Penn during an appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger. "He is a loser... when you say our country is in good shape when it's not," Guillen said. "Who are you to talk about Venezuela?" "I invite him to go to Venezuela with me, and I'll say, 'This is Venezuela, bro. Here it is, this Venezuela, not the one they show you.'" Sean Penn is probably far too busy rebuilding Haiti single-handedly to take Guillen up on his offer.
