Charlie Sheen Lawsuit Update

Charlie Sheen has dropped a lawsuit against the porn star he says stole his watch at The Plaza Hotel -- but there's a catch.

Charlie Sheen

It's kind of hard to serve a someone with a lawsuit when that person has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. Charlie Sheen just found that out the hard way.

Remember that little incident with Charlie Sheen and the porn star at The Plaza last year? Sheen lost his marbles because he thought Capri Anderson stole one of his ridiculously expensive watches. She tried to file charges against him, but nothing stuck.

Sheen has been trying to sue Anderson for damages over the loss of that watch, but there's one teeny little problem: The process server can't find her.

Capri Anderson has gone completely underground, and not even the best server money can buy -- because we know Sheen's got tons of it -- has been able to dig her up.

She's not dead or anything; in fact, a gossip site got her on the phone saying she has nothing to say. But the lawsuit can't move forward unless she is served in person, so for now it is DOA.

Here's the catch, though. Sheen's lawyers had the case dismissed without prejudice, meaning whenever and wherever she resurfaces -- and she eventually has to -- the actor can refile the suit. All he has to do is make a single phone call to his lawyer's office from the set of his upcoming show Anger Management.

Capri Anderson has always maintained she did not steal the watch.
