Nick Lachey gets all mushy about bride Vanessa Minnillo

Nick Lachey told Access Hollywood that his new bride Vanessa Minnillo absolutely took his breath away at their recent wedding.

"She looked stunning, as I expected her to," Lachey said. "I hadn't seen the dress until the ceremony, so you have that moment where it takes your breath away."

"It's a special moment when she first comes around the corner," he continued. "'Wow! That's the woman I'm about to marry.'"

"It was a great wedding, a great ceremony, you do everything you can to plan it and then hope for the best. It exceeded our wildest expectations. It was a lot of fun," he said. "Everyone had a blast."

Nick and Vanessa married in a private tropical island ceremony -- well, sort of private. Except for those TV cameras that taped the whole thing for a special called Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding, airing July 30 on TLC.
