Nicky Hilton dumps her Hollywood boyfriend

Nicky Hilton has broken up with David Katzenberg, her boyfriend of the last several years. Does this mean the hotel heiress will have more time to party with sister Paris and the no-longer-under-house-arrest Lindsay Lohan?

Hilton met Katzenberg when the two were teenagers. Hilton, who comes from the famously wealthy hotel chain family, found a similar type in Katzenberg, who is the son of Jeffrey Katzenberg, one of Hollywood's most successful movie producers and the CEO of DreamWorks Animation.

"They broke up quietly after four years together," a friend of the family says. "The main reason was that they have been busy with their work schedules, and it has made it difficult to spend time together." Recently, Hilton has been traveling all over the world promoting her jewelry line, and Katzenberg is busy helming his own movie production company. Sounds like success got in the way of making their romance work.

So, no third party was involved? "There is no scandal or any third person," the friend says, "they remain close friends, they have been friends since they were teenagers."

While Hilton lives a way more private life than her hard-partying sister Paris, the younger heiress found herself in the headlines back in 2004 when she married Todd Meister in a Las Vegas, Nevada, wedding chapel, seemingly on a lark.

Other than his lineage, Jeffrey Katzenberg is most famous for producing MTV's The Hard Times of RJ Berger, the story of a well-endowed high school student.
