You can see Kate Middleton's wedding dress on display at Buckingham Palace, where it is part of the annual summer exhibition.
The gorgeous silk, satin and lace gown, custom made by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, is displayed on a special platform in the ballroom of the palace topped with the Queen's Cartier Halo tiara and Kate's delicate veil.
"Visitors will see what a great example of British couture it is," exhibition curator Caroline de Guitaut says of the wedding dress. "And how much detail and how much work went into the creation of this dress. The beauty really is in the detail."
In addition to the dress, visitors will be treated to other details shared in the very rooms where the couple's wedding receptions were held -- including Kate's size eight Alexander McQueen wedding shoes, a silk replica of her wedding bouquet and the couple's wedding cake.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Queen Elizabeth themselves visited the display on Friday. In addition to the lovely wedding stuff, visitors will also be treated to a look at the Royal Fabergé collection, priceless artwork and a tour of 19 state rooms.
The Buckingham Palace summer tour runs through October 3, 2011.
