Delivery room surprise

Maya Rudolph has big baby news! The actress has welcomed her third child after waiting nine long months to find out if the baby would be a boy or a girl.

It's a boy for actress Maya Rudolph and husband Paul Thomas Anderson! The couple welcomed their third child together on July 3.

Maya Rudolph, pictured here at the Bridesmaids premiere at the end of April, chose not to find out the sex of her baby-to-be during her pregnancy. The 38-year-old, already mom to five-year-old Pearl and 20-month-old Lucille, now has snips, snails and puppy dog tails on her hands!

SheKnows has confirmed with a rep for Maya Rudolph that the family has welcomed a baby boy, and chosen to name him Jack.

Of her decision to opt out of knowing the baby's gender during her pregnancy, the actress explained, "The exciting part is not knowing who's coming. You have to wait nine months for a surprise, but then it's a good payoff because it really is a surprise."

Earlier this year Maya Rudolph, a self-described "baby machine," joked about the seemingly endless length of her pregnancy. "[I'm due in] two more months... in dog years, so that's 25," she told Chelsea Handler. "Honestly, because it's my third, I feel like I've been pregnant for like six years, seriously."

Congratulations to Maya Rudolph on the birth of baby Jack!
