Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand are moving into a gorgeous new home with a famous history and a price tag to match.
The $6.5 million mansion was built in the 1920s and was owned by former National Lampoon editor-in-chief Daniel Laikin -- and has also been featured on The Bachelor.
The house itself is stunning, with many touches that give it a British manor look, including lots of carved wood and ornate plaster ceilings. Sitting on three acres of land -- a virtual farm by LA standards -- the home has nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, stained glass windows, its own pub and a media room.
That's not all: For $6.5 million Katy and Russell also get a beautiful outdoor pool, two full guest suites and servants' quarters, plus prime real estate on a spot in the Laurel Canyon Boulevard corridor perched above the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills. All told the couple is looking at over 8800 square feet of beautiful home to decorate!
Laikin, the home's previous owner, is currently sitting in jail serving a 45-month sentence on stock manipulation charges.
