Anne Hathaway On The Oscars
Anne Hathaway is talking about the surreal Oscar experience she shared with James Franco in Harper's Bazaar.
For Anne Hathaway it was the gig of a lifetime: Co-hosting the Oscars with another critically-acclaimed actor in front of their most lauded peers. By the end of the night the world was left wondering what the heck they just witnessed. James Franco gave a famously weird non-performance at the Academy Awards, leaving many to wonder if he was stoned. Franco told David Letterman that he was acting normal but that Anne Hathaway was a "Tasmanian devil" so he looked sloth-like in comparison. Now it's finally Anne's turn to weigh in. In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, Hathaway talks about the Franco situation for the first time. "How did I take it?" she mused about Franco's comments on Letterman. "I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian devil. I called him, and we e-mailed a bit." "In the grand scheme of things, I got to have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I met great people, wore beautiful clothes. And I got to put on a show. I don't see a downside. Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars." Read the entire interview on Harpersbazaar.com But Hathaway has little time to nurse old wounds -- she's far too busy with her latest role as Catwoman on The Dark Knight Rising, currently filming.
