It's Britney, summer of 2011.
Britney Spears will release a video for the up-tempo dance song I Wanna Go, the third single from her Femme Fatale album, at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22. The drop assures Brit of qualifying for this year's MTV Video Music Awards, according to Billboard.com.
What's the vid about? Britney's camp has been quiet but director Chris Marrs Piliero did say the video looks "rad" on Twitter.
"Finished editing the I Wanna Go music video... love it... met up with @britneyspears... we watched it together... she loved it... stoked..." Piliero said.
Piliero directed Ke$ha on her Blow video and his resume includes rockers like the Black Keys and Yellowcard.
Britney opened her Femme Fatale tour in Sacramento, California on Thursday night.
"Can't sleep. WAY too much Adrenaline right now. Sacramento was on fire tonight. You ready San Jose? Cause I am!!!!" tweeted Britney after the show.
Spears tours North America through August 25, then heads to Europe through November.
It sounds like a fatally fun summer.
