Gene Simmons and his family -- including partner of 28 years Shannon Tweed and the couple's two kids, Sophie and Nick -- could never be called conventional, but they are really letting it all hang out on the new season of Family Jewels.
Turns out Tweed has had it up to here with Simmons' philandering, and now that the kids are older she is putting her foot down.
"Oh, we're going to show lots of warts this year," Tweed told TV Guide. "There were a lot of things that I kept to myself until they did go to college. A lot of mothers do that. A lot of couples stay together for the children. I think it's an obligation that parents have... You made a commitment, you had children, you should see it through."
Tweed is so upset over Simmons and his wandering eye that she actually walked off stage during an interview with Joy Behar when Simmons made a joke about his indiscretions!
You can't really blame the woman. Simmons claims to have slept with over 5,000 women and he and Tweed have been together for 28 years, so you do the math.
Is it all just hype or is the couple really in trouble? Don't look for an announcement they've split anytime soon.
"It's kind of like therapy out in the open," Tweed said. "By the time you're done, you're pretty much over your problems."
The sixth season of Family Jewels premieres tonight on A&E.
