Selena Gomez kicked off the Monte Carlo fan event Monday at Santa Monica Place in California. It was there that she made her first public appearance after falling ill last weekend.
SheKnows asked the actress how she was feeling and what the doctors said about her condition. She went on to assure us that everything was in working order. "I'm fine. I was just very malnourished. I was low on iron and exhausted," she said.
Once we finally got into the show, Gomez performed two songs with her band, the Scene, in front of a packed mall filled with screaming fans. One of the songs included the hit, Who Says, which appears on her upcoming album When the Sun Goes Down.
Gomez also took some questions from fans in the audience. One of them asked what it was like filming in Monte Carlo. She confessed, "We actually shot most of the movie in Budapest, which was not Monte Carlo but it was very beautiful. I probably liked Budapest better."
Selena Gomez is just one-third of an amazing trio of girls who headline the new film. The other two are Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy. Gomez told SheKnows what it was like working with them and how well they all got along.
"It was so awesome," Gomez said. "I was really nervous because they're older and Leighton comes from one of the most successful shows on TV, so I was really nervous. But they took me under their wing and they treated me like I was their little sister. It was really nice."
