We'd hoped that earlier reports of Zuma's broken arm weren't true, but it looks like that isn't the case. Gavin Rossdale has confirmed that a fall from the kitchen countertop landed his youngest son with Gwen Stefani in the hospital.
Zuma's fall, and an ensuing trip to the emergency room, are an experience Gavin Rossdale sums up by saying, "It was one of the worst nights of our lives."
"It was one of those freak events," Gavin continues. "He fell. A freak accident." The doting father did not confirm or deny earlier reports that Zuma required a pin to be inserted into his wrist during his hospital visit.
So how is little Zuma feeling now that he's had a few days to recover? Gavin Rossdale says, "He's fine now."
As for how Gwen Stefani's 2-year-old son ended up on the kitchen counter in the first place, Gavin says, "The kids are never alone, and you turn your back, and it takes a split second."
Calling the event "horrific," the 45-year-old rocker explained before going on at Palazzo Las Vegas's Summer Soiree party on Saturday, "It's almost worse for us [parents]."
Here's hoping that Zuma's broken arm heals quickly, and both Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani recover from the scare of their lives!
