In The Hot Seat
Never mind that little thing called the premiere of X-Men: First Class, all anyone on the red carpet wanted to know was who January Jones' baby daddy is! Check out what the cast had to say about their pregnant co-star, and why director Matthew Vaughn's absence is being regarded as highly suspicious.
Who can concentrate on the opening of X-Men: First Class when the mystery of January Jones' baby daddy continues on? January and her growing bump were the talk of Wednesday evening, with cast members making sure to choose their words very carefully.
Michael Fassbender had some sweet words to say about pregnant co-star January Jones. "She's a fantastic person," the 34-year-old actor told Us Weekly. "She's very sweet. Just in the experience of working with her, she sort of gets up and gets on with it, and I think she'll probably do the same in motherhood."
On the subject of the father of January Jones' baby daddy, Kevin Bacon said laughingly, "You know you can't ask me that!"
January Jones, the only woman who knows for certain who the father of her baby is, told People earlier this week, "I feel great. I haven't had any weird physical side effects. I feel pretty lucky so far." As for strange pregnancy cravings, the 33-year-old said, "Everybody is asking that. I haven't yet. It's a bummer. I wish I had something weird to tell."
Meanwhile, the gossip mill continues to churn out new theories as to who is January Jones' baby daddy. E! Online put up a post Thursday speculating that X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn could be the father. Amongst their evidence are reports from inside sources that Matthew and his wife split town unexpectedly just before January's pregnancy announcement. They also point to Matthew failing to attend Wednesday's film event as highly suspicious.
An update on the gossip post reads, "Legal counsel for Matthew Vaughn strongly denies that his client had an affair with January Jones, or is the father of her expected child."
And the January Jones baby daddy mystery continues on...
