Princess Beatrice's crazy royal wedding hat got as much attention as Kate Middleton's Sarah Burton wedding gown. The daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew wore a pale rose-colored dress paired with this aerodynamic hat (or fascinator, as they are called in London) that defied gravity.
The description for Princess Beatrice's royal wedding hat reads: "A unique sculptural celebratory headpiece in delicate tea rose silk, designed by one of the UK's most creative and influential milliners Philip Treacy. A truly individual, fun but elegant wedding bow becomes the fascinator form."
Currently, there has been one bid placed for 5,000 pounds and the auction will go on for nine more days. All the money raised from the hat will be split between UNICEF and Children in Crisis.
"I've been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted," Princess Beatrice said in a statement. "It's a wonderful opportunity to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic charities. I hope whoever wins the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have."
The auction ends in nine days so get a piece of royal wedding history before it is gone! Plus, all the money goes to a good cause.
"UNICEF and Children in Crisis are thrilled to be working with Princess Beatrice to raise as much money as possible for children around the world," a UNICEF spokesperson said.
