Rick Springfield busted on DUI charges

Eighties heartthrob Rick Springfield was arrested last night in Los Angeles on DUI charges.

The 61-year-old was pulled over around 8 p.m. because of a traffic violation, and when cops approached they noticed that the singer reeked of booze.

"He [Springfield] looked pretty gone, like he'd been having a really good time," a witness to the incident told RadarOnline. "A friend of his had to drive his car away."

Springfield failed his field sobriety tests and blew a .10 and a .08, just barely above the .08 legal limit in California.

Springfield -- who has admitted to problems with sex addiction and depression in the past -- did not become Jessie's Girl in jail. He was booked and released on his own recognizance fairly quickly.
