AI: Casey Abrams
Bids Farewell!

The contestants of American Idol shrunk to five with the elimination of Casey Abrams Thursday night.

Casey Abrams is gone

We're not going to lie, no one really blew it big time on this week's American Idol, so the elimination of Casey Abrams was a tough one. As a matter of fact, the American Idol results show produced a shocking bottom three: Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery and Casey Abrams.

Not even a fantastic performance from Bruno Mars could hide the fact that this week's American Idol bottom three were a tragedy handed down by the American voters. But, this is a reality show and like we said with Pia Toscano -- it happens.

Scotty McCreery pulled out a flawless performance Wednesday night and Casey Abrams has been shining week after week. So, what went wrong?

Was Scotty McCreery's performance, while perfect, a bit too sleepy this week? Was Casey Abrams' growl too much for America to handle? Perhaps, Jacob Lusk was not as on as he thought. While we're not sure what happened, we do know that Casey Abrams took his final bow on the American Idol stage and said goodbye.

With the top five down to James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, Jacob Lusk and Haley Reinhart, Thursday night's elimination proved no one is safe.

Did you agree with America's decision to give Casey Abrams the American Idol boot? Tell us, we want to know.

Yes, sending Casey home was the right decision. Although, I think Jacob should have been long gone. Scotty can not sing anything but country. Jacob should be the next to go, then Scotty. James own the stage, but not the best singer. It should come down to Haley and Lauren and I think Haley has the better voice.
