The 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards kicked off from the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, blending country's hottest acts with some noted names in rock and R&B. Carrie Underwood rocked the stage with Steven Tyler -- and a nice set of pink extensions -- while Rihanna teamed up with Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles. Watching Carrie Underwood strut her stuff to Walk This Way will definitely be one for the ACM record books.
While the acts were hot, the winners were even hotter. Spitfire Miranda Lambert came into the Academy of Country Music Awards a top nominee and The House That Built Me singer didn't disappoint. She was introduced by her fiance and the awards co-host, Blake Shelton, before giving a goosebump-inducing performance like she always does. The "it" girl of country walked away with four awards including song, video and single of the year for The House That Built Me. Lambert also took home Female Vocalist of the Year.
Lady Antebellum also made a strong showing, taking home a few awards including Vocal Group of the Year, while Taylor Swift nabbed Entertainer of the Year from seasoned veterans like Keith Urban and Brad Paisley.
