Beyonce was being pressured to return the money she was paid for performing in front of family members of brutal Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi after an article in Rolling Stone named her and numerous other stars as directly benefitting from his brutal regime.
While singer Nelly Furtado caved because she was caught, Beyonce's rep said she's way ahead of the game and donated her full fee to charity over a year ago.
"All monies paid to Beyonce for her performance at a private party at Nikki Beach St. Barts on New Year's Eve 2009, including the commissions paid to her booking agency, were donated to the earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago," her publicist told Us Magazine.
"Once it became known that the third party promoter was linked to the Gaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause."
The Clinton Foundation confirmed her gift.
