Radiohead fans had an early weekend treat when they released their album, The King of Limbs, along with their music video to their first single, Lotus Flower. This album is a follow-up to their 2007 album In Rainbows.
The groundbreaking band gave fans an indication something may be happening today, when they tweeted last night, "Shibuya Hachiko Friday 6:59."
Even though the tweet has since been removed, fans in Tokyo took that to mean they would be appearing at this famous intersection in downtown Tokyo, which was made famous thanks to Sofia Coppola's movie Lost in Translation.
The band had planned on releasing their single on their website at that time (Japan time), but their website crashed. Lucky for us, their Lotus Flower music video is available on YouTube -- and you can watch it right here.
What can you expect with their new album? "It's genuinely exciting. It's very different from what we did last time," guitarist Ed O'Brien told the BBC last summer. "It's really nice to be doing this. It's so good to be making music with the band that you feel is still as good as it's ever been."
The King of Limbs is available for digital download for $9 -- or for $48 you get two 10-inch vinyl records, 625 pieces of artwork and the MP3 version.
You won't find product placement in this video (unlike Britney Spears' new video), but you'll see frontman Thom Yorke looking cool in a black hat dancing and singing. Watch Radiohead's Lotus Flower and tell us what you think!
