Bruno Mars
Gets Probation

Bruno Mars was dealt a lucky hand after receiving probation for his Las Vegas cocaine arrest.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars got lucky in court Wednesday after a judge granted the Grammy winner probation on a cocaine charge from back in September. The popular singer pleaded guilty to felony possession of cocaine and as part of the deal Mars will be on one year's probation and pay a $2,000 fine.

Mars will take part in a drug counseling course online and perform 200 hours of community service. An online course seems a bit easy, but we're happy Mars will be able to just move on from the situation. Provided he complies and keeps his nose out of trouble, the case will be void.

Last September, Mars was arrested and found to be in possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine while at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Fans found his original confusion of how the cocaine got there troubling, but it didn't stop him from still climbing the charts. As a matter of fact, he recently rocked the Grammy stage with B.o.B and Janelle Monae and his songs have been a part of the Glee catalog.

Do you think it's time to let Bruno Mars wipe the slate clean and give him another chance or have you already forgotten about his little indiscretion? Tell us what you think.

I normally don't follow the celeb thing and figure their life is their life. In this case, I think I will say something. Bruno has such great talent, and even greater potential for being a long-standing artist. He is perhaps one of the first Filipino to make it big on such a huge scene. I hope he has the support and love of people who will tell him when he is doing wrong, when he is doing right, and make sure he can keep all of his fans backing him for a long time. I have never written about a celeb in a forum before. His music has touched my wife, and I, and we look forward to hearing more from him, and wish him so much happiness and luck.
