Marion Cotillard & Gordon-Levitt

The star-studded cast of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, now includes Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Joseph Gordon-LevittMarion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are the latest stars signed on to Christopher Nolan's Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises.

The A-list cast already includes Christian Bale, who will reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Anne Hathaway as Selena Kyle/Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane.

Cotillard, who is expecting her first child in May with fiance Guillaume Canet, is slated to play the role of Talia al Ghul as Bale's love interest.

Keira Knightley, Jessica Biel and even Anne Hathaway (who was eventually cast as Catwoman) all were fighting for the role of Bale's love interest.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with Marion again and have no doubt she will be a great addition to our ensemble cast and bring to life a key part of the universe we have created as we finish our story," said director Nolan.

Gordon-Levitt will play Roman Sionis or the Black Mask -- although other sources say he will play Alberto Falcone aka the Holiday Killer. "I am thrilled to be working with Joseph again after a delightful experience working with him on Inception and am certain he will deliver another thrilling performance as one of Batman's most popular villains."

Cotillard and Gordon-Levitt both worked with Nolan in the smash hit Inception.

Batman's The Dark Knight Rises is slated for release July 20, 2012.
