The third time was not a charm for pro skateboarder Tony Hawk -- he's divorcing his third wife after five years of marriage.
The iconic boarder, who brought the sport into the mainstream and created an empire including equipment, video games and television and movie appearances, announced the news today along with his soon-to-be-ex Lhotse Merriam.
In a joint statement, the couple said:
"We have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain deeply committed and loving parents to our daughter, and out of respect for that responsibility we ask that people honor our family's privacy during this important time of transition. Thank you for your understanding."
Hawk and Merriam married in 2006. They have a two-year-old daughter, Kadance. Hawk has three other children from his previous two marriages.
Hawk also was married to Cindy Dunbar from 1990-1993 and Erin Lee from 1996-2004. With all these divorces, we know where the revenue from his 15 different video games is going: Straight into child support and alimony checks.
