Even though former Cosby Show actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Southland actress Regina King have known each other since they were about 10-years-old, the dating duo denies they are engaged.
King, 39, confirmed to Access Hollywood that she and Warner, 40, are dating -- but not getting married. "No, we're not engaged," she said. She did admit to Essence magazine that she and Warner, who played Theo Huxtable on the hit Cosby sitcom, do have a strong connection.
"Malcolm and I have a lot in common…we've both been child actors and were also blessed to be raised by incredible mothers who instilled good values in us. Things are maturing nicely."
An insider says the two are living together and insists marriage is their next step. "Malcolm and Regina are thrilled that they've found the most satisfying relationship of their lives… They're both extremely content right now, and marriage is the next step," a source revealed.
"They recently found a place together in Los Angeles and (they) are living as a family with her teenage son. Malcolm loves the boy as if he was his own, and Regina refers to Malcolm as her 'soul mate.'"
Regina King has a 15-year-old son from her previous marriage to Ian Alexander, Sr.
Warner, who was seen in the movie Fool's Gold and recently released a DVD, has never been married and does not have any children.
