Heath Ledger Comments Irked Star

Actress Michelle Williams has been getting a ton of press lately. She's up for a slew of awards for her dramatic turn in Blue Valentine. But there is one bit of publicity she's not too happy with -- Williams recently blasted Nightline for skewing her remarks on the late Heath Ledger.

Michelle Williams has come a long way since her days as the new girl in town on Dawson's Creek. Her role in the almost-NC-17 Blue Valentine has been getting rave reviews. But not all publicity is good publicity. Williams recently did an interview with Nightline that she claims was so over-edited that she'll be shying away from doing them in the future.

Williams told the Daily Beast, "It was a three-hour interview that was edited in such a way that was devastating to me. I am still such the-good-girl. I want everybody to like me...So that desire in the moment overrode that 'me' that is on top of myself, that 'me' that is on top of a situation."

She continued, "They used those quotes and the way they edited the piece to sell the interview, and it appeared as if I were breaking some kind of silence and sitting down with the express purpose to discuss something that is very private to me."

The whole situation is terribly sad. No one wishes anything but happiness for Williams and her young daughter from her relationship with Heath Ledger. Still, all TV interviews are edited to sell the piece. Williams always talks about how long she's been in the industry. Doesn't she know that by now? Don't do the interview if you're worried about how it's going to be put together. Seems like a no-brainer.

She did the interview to try and get her way as usual. This is typical of Michelle Williams.
