Tony Romo engaged!

Football player Tony Romo, who famously dumped Jessica Simpson on the eve of her birthday like a jerk (seriously, who does that?), has a little something extra to celebrate this holiday season: He is engaged!

Romo's betrothed isn't just some chick off the street. No, Romo's romance with JSimp gave him a taste of the Hollywood life, and he liked it. His new fiancée is none other than Candice Crawford -- the sister of actor Chace Crawford!

According to TMZ, Romo popped the question during Crawford's 24th birthday party last week. Her humungous ring appears to be a (gigantic) square cushion-cut diamond set in a double platinum band of diamonds.

Candice Crawford is a sports reporter with television station KDAF-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth.
