Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are separating after two years of marriage, according to reports.

Two of the sexiest people alive are headed for a split. TMZ reports that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are separating after just two years of marriage.

The couple have been living apart for some time, according to TMZ. The split is amicable, they said.

No word on whether or not a third party is involved in the split, but more information is sure to come.

Reynolds and Johansson started dating after Reynolds broke off his engagement to singer Alanis Morrissette in 2008. The couple announced their engagement in May 2008 and married in a small ceremony in Tofino, British Columbia in September 2008.

Their separation comes as both of their careers continue to heat up. Reynolds was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in November and his highly-anticipated The Green Lantern will be out in 2011. Johansson most recently hosted Saturday Night Live and starred in Iron Man 2 earlier this year.

I am not really surprised that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson divorced. It has become a routine affair in Hollywood (or for that matter in the celebrity circles in any country).

When I heard that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson divorced, I thought "this seems like another typical Hollywood couple".
