DWTS: Brandy
Goes Home

Dancing With the Stars revealed the final three during the live semifinals results show and it was curtains for Brandy and Maks.

Brandy

Season 11 of Dancing With the Stars is coming to a close, but there was still another cut to be made during the semifinals results show.

The show opened with an encore of Brandy and Maks' perfect scoring Argentine tango from last night's competition. Watching them dance again had us hoping our prediction of them in the finals would come true.

Tom Bergeron got right down to business with the first couple to move on to the finals -- Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. We had called this couple to be the ones sent packing. Hey, we weren't the only ones.

Kyle Massey and his gyrating hips were also sent on to dance another day and race for the mirrorball trophy with partner Lacey Schwimmer. This left Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas to sweat it out with Brandy and Maks Chmerkovskiy.

On to happy news, Annie Lennox came out to perform two beautiful songs, including a rendition of Little Bird complete with dancers and bird-like choreography. Enrique Iglesias brought Latin flair to the floor with his hit I Like It.

This season of Dancing With the Stars produced more shocks than perhaps any other season and it was definitely a twist to see Brandy and Maks in the bottom two. Unfortunately, one had to leave and it was time for Brandy and Maks to hang up their dancing shoes. We can already hear the gasps around the country. This was not expected at all, but it has been an unpredictable season. The Bristol Palin haters will be lighting up the blogosphere for sure.

With the season 11 Dancing With the Stars finale set to feature Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin, who will take the mirrorball trophy? Stay tuned to SheKnows for all the DWTS finale coverage.

I am not a Bristol hater. She was no dancer at all when she started but she had made impressive progress in weeks for that I admire. However I was as upset as many other viewers who are not clouded by the political agenda about the voting results. To be fair to much better dancers like Brandy, Bristol should have been voted out long time ago. I wish her well but her staying around does not show good character even worse for her mom. Her mom showed bad taste trying to cash in from this. Her behavior has brought herself to a new low level of politics. Who can trust her to lead our country?

Bristol should have been home already. This is not Politricking with the stars as we all know but the tea party who think they are the only righteous and impartial people in America displayed impartiality by manipulating the voting system just to keep Bristol on this show. She should stop being delusional and get off her high horse because she is not that relatable as she states. To lie and say someone don't like you to gain votes. Shameful. I am done with this show and al its politricking.

i am so upset. why will they do that. it's not fair. branda is a good dancer. but bristol cannot even dance they could have vote her out!!!!!!!!!!! for christ sake.!!!!!!!!!!1 i am so piss off.

I am so upset to see the results are being so unfair and unjustice!!! Brandy should not be eliminated. It should be Bristol who should be voted off the show. In fact, Bristol Palin should be eliminated from the beginning of the show in week 1. Bristol can't dance at all!!! Her dancing is just as awful and stiff as Kate. Bristol is also so boring to watch.

RRS November 17, 2010 | 4:41 PM

I too, have watched the last episode of DWTS....how crooked can it get???typical politics!!! Bristol should not even have BEEN allowed in the show due to her mother campaigning in "tea parties" and advertising on Monday night shows...

AQD November 17, 2010 | 1:37 PM

I HAVE BEEN WATCHING DWTS SINCE THE VERY FIRST SEASON. I SAID I WAS GOING TO STOP WHEN THEY LET DONNIE WIN! I UNDERSTAND ABOUT VOTES BUT THEY HAVE GONE TOO FAR I WILL NEVER WATCH DWTS AGAIN!!!!!!!

Deb November 17, 2010 | 12:50 PM

Won't watch the show again until the voting system changes!

rose November 17, 2010 | 12:06 PM

Bristol needs to move on now,it'S discusting to see what a diappointment the show has been in the last several years.Voting system should change, after the fans vote the judges should subtract so many points from the dancers score.Bristol was 7 times in the bottom,If she wins, the show should not be allowed to continue.

Outrageous! Bristol over Brandy?? I thought DWTS was about talent, not a popularity contest.Bristol is in no way, shape or form within the same vicinity of talent as the others. This is one time the "inexperienced underdog" should NOT have won.Interesting how she showed no surprise when the announcement was made. It was as if she already knew the outcome??? It's sad to think DWTS may have become a soapbox for politics! She does NOT deserve to be in the top 3 and should not take home the prize.

vee November 17, 2010 | 10:43 AM

Bristol knows she can't dance and she knows that elimination for her should have come much sooner. I can't imagine beening in her shoes. This shows the truth of the matter. A honest person with good morals and values would have come forth and passed the torch six shows ago and especially by now. I don't understand how she stands there.I hope she still has a conscience but for her to continue at this point would show that it has been seered with a hot iron. I just don't get it.We are seeing POLITICS at its best for the worst.God have mercy on us!!!! Do we teach our children to behave this way??? What kind of people are still voting for Bristol and what is the condition of their hearts?? Bristol is suppose to represent conservative ideas. This would be based on The BIBLE!!!!

Buffy November 17, 2010 | 10:40 AM

NOT EVER WATCHING DANCING WITH THE STARS AGAIN. SO UNFAIR TO KEEP A PERSON WHO IS SO STIFF ON THE SHOW. IT'S SAD THAT POLITICS PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE.

momof3 November 17, 2010 | 9:52 AM

I love Bristol Palin, she is real. I do not care for her mom and I really don't think the tea party have anything to do with her sticking around. It is sad to see people going as far as making twinkie comments about anyone. She has Hutchinson, she can not help the way she looks. So you uneducated twinkie lovers go get a life.

Mary November 17, 2010 | 9:34 AM

Never again will I waste my time watching your program. All you accomplished was to help a past and future political campaign. What a farce!!!!!!!! Sooooo unfair.

Doug.F November 17, 2010 | 9:33 AM

"The only time she comes close to dancing is when she is trying to get to a twinkie." ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Want to know why a LOT of 'us' detest the 'usual suspects' ? It's snide nasty juvenile c*** such as the above. Not acceptable. I frankly hope Bristol smokes them in the final and takes home that trophy. Just to see the angst and vitriol that will generate amongst the haters. And of course she is working her keister off for it, and IS getting better each week. Bottom line here -- if she gets some '10's' next week --- she will win. And deserve to.

Sharron Young November 17, 2010 | 9:32 AM

how disgusting that American politics and the Tea Party movement are taking over the voting-not because Bristol is a good dancer but for their political cause. She should have got dumped the second week-it is painful to watch her. DWTS has a huge Canadian fan base but it is going to drop off with these kind of results-maybe the fans shouldn't have as much say because some of them don't have a clue about dancing! I definitely will not watch again next year if she wins, unless the voting system is corrected. This isn't the first year that really good dancers that have worked so hard lose out to popularity-this is not a popularity contest but one of hard work and dedication!

jan fassett November 17, 2010 | 9:31 AM

Bristol should have been eliminated-she can't dance! It wasn't fair to the other contestants for Sara Palin to "advertise" on Monday nights show, either!

Clark Kent November 17, 2010 | 9:31 AM

i think it wasn't cool that Brandy & Maks had 2 go....i believe Bristol was the 1 2 leave (since the longest)...but anywho its sad that politics was mix with DWTS this season...it would been nice 2 c the really finaliest off some in n out of the show who got kicked off...but whatevers...so hate it....!!!

RBJ November 17, 2010 | 9:23 AM

I have just watched my last episode of Dancing with the Stars. It's not a talent contest it's a popularity contest. Bristol Palin is not even in the same league with the others. The only time she comes close to dancing is when she is trying to get to a twinkie.
