Jamie Oliver: A Father Once Again
Jamie Oliver welcomed his fourth child, and first son, with his wife, Jools, in London on September 15.
A spokesman for the couple also released a statement saying, "The whole family is thrilled." The pregnancy, which the couple admitted was sort of a happy accident, was announced in April, coming on the heels of the birth of their third daughter, who was born one year earlier in April 2009. This may be their first boy, but the Olivers stayed true to form by immediately cursing their newest addition with a name built for school yard ridicule. Joining sisters Petal Blossom Rainbow, 17 months, Daisy Boo Pamela, 7, and Poppy Honey Rosie, 8, the new baby boy, who weighed 6 pounds and 9 ounces, was knighted Buddy Bear Maurice Oliver. Buddy Bear? Seriously? We've got money that says he's going to go by Maurice, added to honor Jools' late father, who passed away in 1997 from a stroke, by the time he gets to middle school. Congratulations to the entire Jamie Oliver clan. And, Buddy Bear, good luck fending off wedgies. |
