September’S Still Hot At The Movies
September movies like George Clooney’s The American officially begin the push for Oscar gold! Hollywood traditionally leaves its most Oscar-worthy contenders (ie the really good movies) until September or after in order to stay fresh on Academy Award voters’ minds.
September 2010 in movies is no different as the new slate of films is sure to get noticed. Highly anticipated films will hit the big screen such as Ben Affleck's The Town, Keira Knightley and Michelle Williams' highly buzzed about Never Let Me Go and our favorite of the fall thus far, Easy A, starring Emma Stone in a star-making role. September 1The American
What it's about: George Clooney plays an assassin stuck in Italy working one last job. The suspense thriller has been called a hit man movie in the European vein. The all European cast and locale could give this flick a different feel than most American thrillers audiences have seen of late. That would be a good thing. September 3Going the Distance
What it's about: Drew and Justin are Erin and Garrett, star-crossed lovebirds who fall in love and then promptly have to make it work when Drew's Erin has to go home to San Francisco. Justin stays in New York City and hilarity ensues. Going the Distance trailerMachete

I'm Still Here I'm Still Here trailerThe Romantics
What it's about: The Romantics is based on the novel by Galt Niederhoffer and it's one of those night films. You know what we mean, the film takes place during one particular evening that will leave all those attending a wedding looking at the world slightly differently. Friends can quickly become enemies and love triangles can flourish, but one thing remains as the film illustrates, one must occasionally give up oneself to The Romantics' side of life. Up next, how's this for a pair of actresses combining forces: Keira Knightley and Michelle Williams!
