Faith Evans arrested on DUI suspicion

According to TMZ,  Faith Evans was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD confirmed the news that the Grammy-winning singer was stopped at a checkpoint when she was arrested.

Officer Cleon Joseph reportedly told TVGuide.com that Evans was arrested August 21 at a checkpoint in Marina del Rey. Faith Evans was then taken into custody and released on bail Sunday morning.

Faith Evans was most notably the widow of rapper The Notorious BIG. In 2004, Evans spent 13 weeks in rehab after being arrested in Atlanta and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine.

Faith Evans' latest album, Something About Faith, is set to release in October. Evans is reportedly also working on a reality series, It's All About Faith, which will showcase the star's return to music and her home life.
