Bilson & Christensen: Jumping Out Of Love
Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have called off their wedding engagement.
Carrie Bradshaw was right, when couples take a break; it's a hop, skip and a week from a breakup.
A few months after announcing they were taking a "break" from their engagement, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially gone their separate ways.
"Yes, the engagement is off," Bilson's reps told People magazine, though they declined to provide any further details on the split. Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson met on the set of Jumper in 2007, and got engaged in December of the following year.
While some reports claim one of the main reasons for the couple's demise was distance, with Rachel Bilson primarily in LA and Christensen spending most of his time in Canada, the only people who will ever know the real reasons are Rachel and Hayden.
Bilson is reportedly "focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward," according to a friend of the actress, though there are already rumors that the former OC starlet is hooking up with SNL's Andy Samberg. Meanwhile, Hayden was seen leaving the premiere of his new film Takers with model and "actress" Sophie Monk, who's reportedly friendly with his older brother, Tove.
Ah, the rebound hookup -- an integral part to the healing process following a breakup.
