SheKnows takes
you inside the home video premiere and bash for Inglourious Basterds and gives you the honest review if the film is worth the
fanfare. Hint: a resounding yes!
Audiences will be amazed at the performance Brad Pitt turns in as the leader of a World War II secret squad of Jews dropped into occupied France to terrorize Germans.
Also along for the Tarantino thrill ride is Diane Kruger, The Office's BJ Novak and Hostel director Eli Roth.
Immediately following the screening at the New Beverly Cinema (which was recently purchased by Tarantino) the filmmaker and his cast went to Grace Restaurant to celebrate their film's arrival
on DVD and Blu-ray.
Inglourious Basterds stars that attended the evening's festivities included Diane Kruger, Golden Globe-nominated actor
Christoph Waltz, Eli Stone, Novak, Melanie Laurent, Omar Doom, Samm Levine and Zoe Bell. Also in attendance was our favorite doc on Grey's Anatomy, Kevin McKidd as well as Fringe's Joshua Jackson (there supporting girlfriend Kruger).

Inglourious Basterds Blu-ray & DVD review
Synopsis: In the first year of the German occupation of France, Shosanna Dreyfus (Melanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa
(Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Pitt) organizes a group of
Jewish American soldiers to perform swift, shocking acts of retribution.
Later known to their enemy as "the Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark (Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of the Third
Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquis, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own....
Formats: Inglourious Basterds is available on Two-Disc Blu-ray, Two-Disc DVD Special Edition, Single-Disc DVD and download to own. Both the Blu-ray and Two-Disc Special
Edition DVD come with a Digital Copy of the film with 90-plus minutes of new behind-the-scenes bonus features.
Review: Brad Pitt shines as the bodacious American commander of a lethal team of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" -- whose exploits in occupied France
strike terror in the hearts of the German rank and file and enrage the German High Command. Pitt is electric in his role, but the actor who steals the entire film with his stunning portrayal of a
Nazi henchman is Waltz, who was named Best Actor at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Also a standout in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds is the charming Kruger.
All three home video editions of Inglourious Basterds include extended and alternate Scenes, Nation's Pride -- The film within the film and the Inglourious
Basterds domestic and international trailers.
The Two-Disc Special DVD Edition and the Blu-ray also includes priceless extras for film fans. Of particular note is the roundtable discussion with Quentin Tarantino, Brad Pitt and film
historian-critic Elvis Mitchell. Hearing these geniuses dissect their instant classic is a film master class.
