Gossip Girl heads to college as the Upper Eastsiders begin life anew as freshmen and women at New York University.

Audiences will quickly discover that Blake Lively's Serena has had a summertime change of heart and ditched Brown for NYU. Also on the docket this season is the increased role of Michelle Trachtenberg, who made a splash on the show's first two seasons. Look for Trachtenberg to make trouble for her roommate Blair (Leighton Meester).

Also, Gossip Girl should be even more tantalizing than it has been prior. Hard to believe, no? With the crew off at college, whatever reins their parents had on them are now completely gone and the plot drama and steaminess should hit new levels.

Meanwhile, Taylor Momsen's Jenny and Connor Paolo's Eric are still in high school and watch for their adventures to keep the high school Gossip Girl fires burning.

Chase Crawford discovers that his character Nate has an unlikely and difficult-to-resist attraction to a staunch conservative student. With his family's Kennedy-like political ways, this romance should be interesting!

Blake Lively's Serena continues kissing people and initial clips are showing her old boyfriend Dan will not be alone for long. Something tells us he will be making out with guest star Hilary Duff quite soon.
