Rachel Ray rocks!

Vanessa Williams hosted the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The biggest news was Ellen DeGeneres losing her crown as top daytime talk show.

It was a night when all that glitters is certainly gold, the daytime divas and divos were in full effect and what a night it was for the Daytime Emmy Awards!

Whether it was the 100-degree sweltering heat, the special tribute to Guiding Light which will dissolve into drama thin air when its last episode will air in a few weeks or the presenters, such as like Bindi Irwin, Rachael Ray and Dr Phil -- it's all exciting in the world of daytime.

Although Ellen lost her crown as reigning daytime talk show champ the past few years, it was great to see Cash Cab cash in as the top game show.
