Let's face it: not a day goes by when the stars of Jon & Kate Plus 8 aren't in the news. At least now there is something positive to report: the kids are going back to school.
Jon was quoted as telling People.com, "They're all jazzed up about riding on the bus. I'm happy too, because now I don't have to drive them to school."
Although Jon and Kate arrived in separate cars for the first day of school, the nine-year-old twins Cara and Mady rode with their mom, hugged their dad and then jumped on the school bus.
Kate then walked onto the bus with them and then got off as Jon stayed in the parking lot and paced.
The sextuplets will start junior kindergarten tomorrow -- they'll go three days each week.
The five year-olds are not all ready for kindergarten, says the Gosselins, because they're all preemies.
Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Collin will apparently be split up based on personality, as mentioned by Jon.
He told People, "Alexis and Collin are definitely not going to be classmates."
In other news, you may have seen Kate on Larry King Live earlier this week. While she seemed to be at a loss for words on various topics like renewing her vows in Hawaii only to see her marriage crumble a year later, the latest in Kate news is she'll fill in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View for a few days in September while Hasselbeck is on maternity leave.
