Everyone's talking about the Teen Choice Awards but the chatter has nothing at all to do with who won or lost. Most of the talk is about Miley Cyrus' pole dance during her performance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. To make matters worse, the pole was attached to an ice cream cart and she was dressed in barely-there shorts and a visible bra. Not that we haven't seen worse than this, but many people think this behavior was inappropriate for a show aimed at teens.
I'm not sure which side of the fence I fall on in that discussion, but there's no doubt about where I stand with Dane Cook. The comedian deemed The Teen Choice Awards the perfect place to make a joke about girls using their phones to send nude photos to their boyfriends. It was clearly a poke at the latest Vanessa Hudgens scandal and the comment was edited out of the broadcast.
What do you think? Inappropriate behavior for a teen-oriented TV show or is this just kids being modern kids? Let us know!
Tonight's top TV picks:
The second group of ten acts takes to the America's Got Talent stage in hopes of making it through to the semi-final round along with those who survived last week's cut.
They hated it the first time and now they have to do it again. It's Prom Night on More to Love.
Food Network's fast, weekly cooking competition show, chefs are tasked with making an appetizer, entree and dessert using all of the strange ingredients in their mystery baskets. Tonight on Chopped they'll be dealing with star fruit and spicy merguez sausage and I can only hope that's not dessert.
NBC has made a major move in the soap opera department. Starting today, you can watch full episodes of Days of Our Lives on the NBC.com website. The past ten episodes are up now and going forward, each episode will stay on line for sixteen days. Now if only they'd go back and show the old seasons with Jensen Ackles, I'd tune in every day!
TNT has ordered ten more episodes of their new medical drama HawthoRNe.
Dancing with the Stars says they'll have their biggest season ever starting with sixteen stars.
TLC is looking for the "Worst Dressed American" to appear on the 250th episode of What Not to Wear. For details and to nominate someone you know, visit the What Not to Wear page on TLC.Discovery.com.
