Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson want to adopt

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are dreaming of adopting a baby from a third-world country.

Ryan Reynolds at the photocall for The Proposal Reynolds, most recently star of The Proposal, wed the star of He's Just Not That Into You in September 2008. Johansson has long spoken about the benefits of adoption, not only for the to-be parents, but the goodwill that it creates across the globe.

Reynolds oldest brother is adopted and the actor plans on repeating a family tradition. "I have every intention of adopting at some time," he told Britain's Glamour magazine. "I'm very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn't be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it."

Johansson is set to be a young mom. She told us in January that, "when the time is right, I am so ready."
