Usher, Mariah And J-Hud

The stars are aligning for Michael Jackson's memorial service July 7 and include the likes of Mariah Carey and Usher.

Mariah Carey is only one of the acts announced for Michael Jackson's memorial The Michael Jackson memorial will feature Oscar-winner and former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson. Hudson has made few public appearances since the murder of several in her family.

Jackson's memorial is promised to be a somber affair, according to producers.

Guess that request to have Usher cover Michael's Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' is too much to ask!

Other acts that have been confirmed for the 10 a.m. Staples Center memorial include John Mayer and Stevie Wonder.

Usher joins Mariah Carey as two of the artists announced for MJ's memorial Celebrities who have been announced as paying their respects to Michael Jackson include: Motown founder Berry Gordy, the Rev. Al Sharpton, Jackson family friend Ron Boyd, Kobe Bryant, Brooke Shields, Martin Luther King III and Magic Johnson.

Musical guests also include Michael Jackson's We are the World co-writer Lionel Richie and Motown legend Smokey Robinson.
