Deathbed Wedding
Ryan O'Neal says he and longtime love Farrah Fawcett are finally going to tie the knot.
"I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed," 68-year-old O'Neal tells Barbara Walters in an interview on ABC's 20/20, to air on June 26. He says the couple will wed "as soon as she can, say yes. Maybe we can just nod her head." Why now? Apparently Farrah never said yes before. "I used to ask her to marry me all the time," O'Neal tells Walters. "But...it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it." Back in May, while pimping his made-for-TV documentary about Farrah's fight for life, he told Meredith Viera of NBC News that he is more in love with Farrah than ever. "I know this, that in the last two years I loved her more than I've ever loved her - ever. She's so much more of a woman...powerful, courageous, fearless and all those adjectives. And I look at her with awe." No word on a wedding date, but those in the know say it will have to be soon -- Farrah is barely hanging on. |
