dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, spilled the beans in an interview for
Access Hollywood and The Billy Bush Show, saying season 4 is going ahead at Miley's request.
"Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year," Billy Ray says. "She didn't want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did.
She wanted it to build to where there's a moral to the story, to where it doesn't just end and go away and that's it. She wanted there to be an official ending to Hannah
The big bucks Disney is paying Miley has something to do with it to, certainly -- she earned over $25 million in 2008 alone.
The fourth and final season of Hannah Montana will consist of 11 half-hour episodes and an hour-long series finale. All will air within 2010.
"We'll start (shooting) season 4 sometime around the end of January," says Billy Ray. "We have to be done by the first week of June in the summer of next year."
Any hope of resurrecting the series?
"Anything is possible in Hollywood," says Billy Ray.
