Alba wed in a courthouse ceremony last May, threw the reception to bring their families together for the first time and to "celebrate their love and commitment to each other," a party-goer tells Us Magazine.
Tents were in place the day before at the Alba and Warren's newly-remodeled, $4 million Beverly Hills home. Guests, including Without A Trace star Roselyn Sanchez, were asked to arrive before 7 pm to enjoy the celebration, which included speeches from the couple, their fathers, as well as a performance by a mariachi band.
"There were no tears," says the party goer, "just lots of happiness and love. It felt extremely special for everyone."
Alba's daughter Honor wore a gray dress with angel wings to the fete.
While Alba and Warren spoke about how special their relationship is, their fathers expressed happiness over the union of the two families -- probably glad Warren stepped up to the plate, as he and Alba were broken up until she turned up preggers in 2007.
Alba and Warren met in 2004 on the set of The Fantastic Four, where Warren was the assistant to the director.
