That is the early rumors coming out of the Warner Brothers lot as Christian Bale prepares to don the bat suit for the third time after the success of Dark Knight.
Warner Brothers thus far has no comment on the Batman Catwoman casting.
Halle Berry notoriously played Catwoman in the 2004 film that was widely panned and ignored by fans of the Batman franchise. Imagining a fellow Oscar winner in Weisz playing the villainous Catwoman should re-energize those fans of the feline thorn in Batman's side.
Other Batman sequel rumor news include one that has Eddie Murphy playing the Riddler. Jim Carrey devilishly played the character in the mess that was 1995's Batman Forever. Not sure Murphy is the right choice to fill the green spandex. Looking at another comic as the Riddler, the mind will automatically go to Carrey.
Although doubtful, fans of Catwoman have let their choice be known: Angelina Jolie. Jolie has starred in several of her own graphic novels to screen adaptations, so it is sincerely doubtful that Mrs. Brad Pitt would wear the cat suit. One can dream.
Christian Bale, Batman himself, is currently wrapping the next Terminator film in that franchise: Terminator: Salvation.
