Meg Ryan and Annette Bening head an all-star cast about a group of wealthy friends in the New York suburbs who come to grips with the fact that one of their friend's (Ryan) husbands is having an affair with the 'perfume girl' played by Eva Mendes. The outstanding cast also includes Carrie Fisher, Debi Mazar, Cloris Leachman, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Candice Bergin in this triumph from writer-director Anne English that took 14 years to get to the big screen.
